Frequently
Asked Questions About CareerPoint
How do I register with
CareerPoint?
To register as a CareerPoint customer, you should attend an
Orientation, which is offered several times a month. At the
end of the hour and a half presentation, you will be asked
to register as a customer. You then will be able to use our
programs and services.
Feel free to check our online calendar for Orientation dates
and times, and call us to sign up for a time that is convenient
for you.
Can you help me find a job?
We are here to assist you with your job search by offering
workshops, materials, information, guidance, and resources.
We have a Resource Center where you can use our computers
to research job postings online, view our "Hot Jobs"
board, use the fax machine or copier, get access to industry
and occupational information, use résumé, interviewing,
and career guides, or browse recent newspapers. There is always
a staff person on duty to assist you if you have any questions.
Can you help me get my GED?
Yes. We partner with the Juntos Collaborative and Holyoke
Community College who can provide or refer you to GED preparation
and area GED testing sites.
I would like to take a training
course to become a CNA. Can you help me get into a CNA course?

Once you become a registered member, you then can sign up
for our "Training Opportunities" workshop. This
workshop explains eligibility requirements and other options
that can help you with attending a CNA course.
I need to file for unemployment
