| all health, welfare and retirement plans, from development to implementation, for The Yankee Candle |
| Company, Inc. The successful person will work with internal and external resources to ensure |
| appropriate plan designs for all health, welfare and retirement plans; ensures that all benefits plans |
| and programs are legally compliant, providing support for tax filings and audits; implements and |
| communicates all health and welfare changes, including plan introductions, HRIS set-up, employee |
| enrollment as well as coordination with insurance vendors; participates in the budget process for all |
| benefits related expenses; oversees the benefits team, coaching and managing the staff to |
| successfully meet short and long-term objectives; analyzes and reviews trends within the benefits |
| industry, maintaining a pro-active approach to cost management and wellness initiatives. This position |
| has the responsibility to manage an annual benefits budget of approximately $20 million. Benefits |
| Manager is responsible for budgeting of all health and welfare and retirement plans, other benefit |
| expenses and employee recognition expenses. This area of responsibility includes benefits for exempt |
| and non-exemt employees, management staff and executive management staff. Due to the nature of |
| the work and its legal compliance, confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy are essential. Bachelors |
| Degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Management; 5-7 years benefits related |
| experience with a focus on managing 401(k), non-qualified deferred compensation plans, self-funded |
| health plans and employee wellness initiatives. 3-5 years of management experience managing all |
| areas of benefits, i.e. health plan administration, life & disability insurance, LOA/FMLA, EAP and |
